Good Monday morning everybody! This is my entry for Illustration Friday where the theme is afterwards. I actually had to really think about this one, at first nothing came to mind and then somehow the little illustration comic like thingy came to me.
It is also day 8 of the challeneges in which I am partaking: AEDM, PiBoIdMo and NanoWriMo. I call the above illustration/idea The Gold Thieves and it follows the adventures of Frank the Unicorn and Meghan the bear after they steal the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and of course many crazy things ensue cuz you really should just leave the gold there at the end of the rainbow. I haven't gotten that far with NaNoWriMo, but now I'm really inspired cuz I got a good graphic novel idea, the story I was working on can wait for now. I have too many ideas in my brain!
Oh, and as a side note, I've said this before, but I can't draw a straight line for nothing, thus my jalopy rectangular boxes. I coulda made it look neater by using the rectangle tool, but I didn't want to.

Missy thanks for coming by and commenting at my blog. Your work is a delight. My inner kid just feels so happy right now! You have given me a big grin.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! Love the gentle colors and the fun characters!
ReplyDeleteI like the "jalopy rectangular boxes" ~ both the drawing and the description. The word suits the description here, and the frames just add to your sweet characters.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Who cares about straight lines when you can draw such adorable scenes.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! So soft and charming :)
ReplyDeleteCool idea to do a sequential story for IF! I also like the irregular boxes, & the occasional overlap on the coloring... both suit your style very well.
ReplyDeletep.s. I can't imagine taking on that many challenges at once, very impressive!
I think it is charming without straight lines, more alive! And ...there was really a jar of gold!!
ReplyDeleteI like your wobbly boxes, too. Your characters are so cute. Are you going to have time to sleep this month?
